3rd Machine (3M: Modern Metal with influences from the nineties until now)

Started in 2005 by experienced musicians from the Dutch Metalscene, currently released 3 EP's (Saraphin (2006), Urban Madness (2008) and The Egotiator (2012) and a full length album Quantified Self (2016) to date.

Based on these releases, the International (metal) press is most laudatory about the originality of the guitar solos, the use of diverse vocalsstyles and the 3M trademark; dynamics interspersed with a wall of sound.
3rd Machine is a band that is always aiming to give the listener something to discover every time one of their tracks is played. In collaboration with the Uruguayan Javier Villasuso (master of photo and video) the band think they have produced a videoclip which keeps the viewer confined to their screen. It’s not just the creative fast shots Javier used to visualize the music, 3M is also very happy with the help from guest actress Janneke de Rooy (also known as frontwoman for Dutch legendary metal band Altar) which will keep the metal viewer stuck to his screen.
This single 'Nine years of war' will also mean the run-up to a 2nd full length album which (-if everything goes by plan-) should see the daylight before the end of this year.
The band is currently looking for a suitable and capable label and or distributor
Again different styles of metal are being used in this song.
The song starts with a post metal riff which evolves into an industrial riff which subsequently modulates into an extreme death metal piece.
Since collaboration with talented musicians is also a thing with this band, 3M asked Nienke Verboom (The Civilized, ex-Ayreon Epic Choir, ex-Mindshade) to put on some angelic vocal voices on some tracks. This song ends in a bombastic, almost symphonic explosion where the duet between John and Nienke stand for the backbone of this song.
